San Francisco's reaction to the Season 9 Finale (Plus behind the scenes tea) | Icon Alert

This year, monsters reign! If you haven't heard yet, Sasha Velour has been crowned America's Next Drag Superstar. Soon I will be breaking down all the reasons why she won. Be on the lookout for that next article.

In the meantime, check out the fun evening I had last Friday with my boyfriend Steven and my friend Randy as we ventured to The Cafe, to join Mahlae and friends one last time (well, one last time during this season) to see the crowning of the new Drag Queen of the Year.

As you may have seen in my recent finale taping recap video, which Steven and I attended in Los Angeles, there was a lipsync battle between the four queens, with Peppermint taking out Trinity in the first round, Sasha taking out Shea in round 2, and Peppermint and Sasha Velour competing in round 3, with footage being taken of both winning for the purposes of suspense.

And now, the rest of the world who didn't want spoilers early on got to see the shocking elimination of the contestants with the highest stats in the competition.

Plus, Mahlae was joined this week by fashion designer to the drag queen stars, Dallas Coulter and Drag Race hair stylist, Hector Pocasangre. They dish some dirt on the past and current seasons, and even answer my own audience question: Whether or not the rumors are true that Drag Race staff send hotel bills to the rooms of the contestants who will be lipsyncing to psych them out. Naomi Smalls standing in the audience even chimes in a bit!
