Lekker: The First Stop I Made When Furnishing My New Home
One place I never fail to visit whenever Steven and I visit his mother in Massachusetts is Lekker. Located in Boston, it’s a one-stop for a lot of my favorite European brands. Being that the word “Lekker” is Dutch for “alluring” or “enticing,” it should be no surprise that it was the first place I visited for inspiration when brainstorming the look and feel of my new home.
Home Decor
My personal favorite category to shop at Lekker is their tableware. From serving pieces and dinnerware to linens and table decor, they’re always stocked up with sleek and minimalistic designs that stir up tablescape dreams in me. To see what kitchen and dining items I picked up on this trip, be sure to check out my corresponding article on my absolute favorite Lekker finds!
They also have gorgeous bathroom and livingroom accessories from canisters and handsoaps, to floor baskets and firewood buckets.
The Furniture
Whatever it is, the way you Another wonderful element of shopping at Lekker is their selection of furniture. I love shopping at stores like Lekker that procured a collection from many brands. It makes me feel confident that whatever I find and end up liking has been vetted for quality. You can find iconic designs like the Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman Set, as well as pieces by brands like Menu and Muuto.
They also have a great selection of dining chairs, counter stools and bar stools! If you are looking for the perfect chair to match with an existing table or counter, be sure to measure the distance from the floor to the underside of the surface, and bring that information with you to the store so that a sales assistant may help you find the right chair height.
Check out the number of different displays in the store! (Don’t mind Steven vetting a rocking chair in the center!)
