Toy Kit
BY WILD ONE
Wild One’s toy kit was one of the first toys I researched when we got Giuseppe. The Triangle Tug toy makes for great tug of war play, and came in handy when he began teething. While the Bolt Bite and Twist Toss are perfect for filling with peanut butter and snacks for some enjoyment when we have to leave him at home for a few hours. Tip: If you spread dog-safe peanut butter on the walls of the holes, you can stick treats to the side of the wall. Freezing the toys overnight in the fridge make for a nice popsicle-like treat that can double their time engaging with the toy.
These toys can be purchased as a set or individually, and are available in two sizes and an assortment of colors.
Standard vs Small Size: If you have a dog that is on the smaller side (20 lbs or less,) I really recommend getting the small sized toys. Back when we first brought Giuseppe home, Wild One only had the standard size toys available, and they ended up being larger and heavier than I imagined. Giuseppe still loves using them; but it’s a bit hard for him to carry his standard Triangle Tug around and lick all of the peanut butter out of his standard Bolt Bite toy. As for the Twist Toss, I’d say a small pup can still use the standard size if you’d like to add a larger quantity of peanut butter to the inside of it. I also love that the rubber parts of these toys are dishwasher top-rack safe, making for easy cleanup each night!
