Charlie Hides Spills Season 9 Tea at the Cafe in San Francisco | Icon Alert

Last week, Dame Charlie Hides visited San Francisco’s Castro District to spill some Season 9 tea with host Mahlae Balenciaga.

Charlie dished on her surprisingly early departure on Drag Race, the injury she endured during the competition that could have been partially responsible for her fixed position during her lip sync against Trinity, and other tea about the remaining contestants.

Steven and I also had the pleasure of meeting her that evening, and she was as sweet as I always hoped she would be. I have been watching Charlie on YouTube since 2012 when I was a freshman in college. When Lana Del Rey was the most played artist throughout my dorm room halls, Charlie did a spot-on and hilarious impersonation of her that blew me away. I then delved further into Charlie’s impersonation portfolio and became fascinated. I looked so forward to seeing her on Drag Race and truly believed she was  unnecessarily robbed of her chance to dazzle us during Snatch Game.
